He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Wednesday along with SIC leaders, Pir Tariq Wali, Mufti Saeed Rizvi, Sahibzada Ammar Saeed, Nawaz Kharal and trader leaders.
He said that SIC leadership had completed contacts with all traders’ organizations who had assured them full cooperation for shutter down on Friday, September 21. Fazal warned that the political leaders who did not come on streets for the sake of honour of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would be rejected by the masses in the next elections.
He demanded of the federal and provincial governments to ensure fool proof security for Friday’s rallies and keep a close eye on anti social elements.
He said that SIC would take out “Labbaik Ya Rasoolallah” rally on Friday from Nasir Bagh to GPO Chowk. Meanwhile, a spokesman of Jamaat-ud-Dawa said that holiday was far too short of what the nation was demanding from the rulers to do to display their love for the Holy Prophet.
A spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami said that holiday was no mean to display the love for the Prophet and commitment to protect his honour.
