Young doctors’ strike enters 4th day : Miseries of patients increases

The Young Doctors Association (YDA), Punjab's strike against not getting service structure has entered fourth day on Thursday.

The YDA also vowed to extend the strike for an indefinite period of time until their demand for service structure was fulfilled.
The closure of OPDs in different hospitals increased the load of patients in emergency wards, which also affected the quality of treatment to the seriously sick and injured patients.
The strike caused intense anguish to the patients and attendants, as the operations, indoor and outdoor services remain suspended for the fourth day today across Punjab, with the government taking no alternate steps.
