LAHO RE - All the members of the Pakistan Olympics Association will assemble for its annual executive committee meeting on May 24 here at a local hotel with heavy agenda on the card. They would discuss in details the report on the Olympics Torch Relay successfully organised by Pakistan Olympic Association POA with the support of the government at Islamabad on April 16. One of the main topics on agenda is Pakistan's participation in the Beijing Olympic Games scheduled to be held from August 8-24. The members would also consider and approve Pakistan participation in the third Commonwealth Youth Games to be held in Pune, India, from October 12 to 18, first Asian Beach Games Bali, Indonesia, from October 18 to 26 and of filling the vacancies of the executive committee.. They would also deliberate on an action plan of national sports federations for their effective preparation and participation in the November and December 2009 11th South Asian Games in Dhaka and 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, in November 2010. Besides, the meeting will review the adoption and implementation of the POA-approved model of constitution of national federations and the issues relating to provincial Olympic associations.
