Students urged to promote agro-economy

LAHO RE - The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz has said that young students are the hope of a nation and they must shoulder the responsibility of promoting agro-economy. He was addressing the delegation of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam students who met with Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz here on Friday. The delegation consisted of 31 female students from various disciplines led by Prof Dr Qammer-ud-Din Abbasi. They also visited UVAS Pet Center, University Diagnostic Laboratory, Quality Operation Laboratory, Library, Postmortem house and outdoor clinic of the varsity. The vice chancellor said that UVAS is the fourth university that has won maximum projects from international agencies after the Quaid-e-Azam Univerity, National University Science and Technology and Agriculture University, Faisalabad. He said this new university had won maximum research grants Rs 572 millions from United State of Agriculture Department.
