The leaders also discussed mutual cooperation in various other sectors in the meeting, which was also attended by Chairman Planning and Development Department, Punjab Investment Board vice chairman and LDA director general.
In his talk, the chief minister highlighted the friendly ties between Pakistan and France. The government of Punjab and France could further enhance cooperation in agriculture, livestock and other sectors of social development. The chief minister while informing about the metro bus service project in the provincial metropolis told that metro bus service was an excellent project of public service due to which best transport facilities would be available to the citizens. He said that the world’s largest eight kilometer long flyover was also being constructed for metro bus service.
French Ambassador said that Lahore is an important historical city of Pakistan and a center of culture and civilisation. He assured that steps would be taken for enhancing cooperation in various sectors with Pakistan especially the Punjab.
Punjab Investment Board Vice Chairman Dr Misbah Ismail informed about the prospects of investment in the Punjab.
Meanwhile, Assembly members belonging to various districts called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at Assembly Chamber on Friday and apprised him of ongoing development activities and the problems of their respective areas. The elected representative paid tributes to the chief minister for expeditiously completing welfare-oriented projects in their constituencies. Those who called on the Shahbaz Sharif include Mehmooda Sarwar Cheema, Shagufta Sheikh, Ijaz Shafi, Khalil Tahir Sindhu and others.
