Notice served on hospital to deposit Rs2.8m

LAHORE – The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has issued notice to a private hospital to deposit property tax worth over Rs2.8 million, sources in the department said on Friday. The said amount is due to be paid by the hospital management for the past three years.
Similarly, another notice was served on Lahore Polo Club to pay over Rs500,000 under the head of entertainment tax. An officer said that it was continuation of the ongoing tax collection drive and Excise Department staff was active in this regard. After a specific period, the Excise Department seals properties in case of non-payment of property tax, he added.
