Police quash FIR against 3 children

LAHORE – On the orders of Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman, a theft-case registered against three children in Dera Ghazi Khan has been quashed.
Sources said that the police had registered the case against three children for stealing wheat from a godown. The IGP took serious notice of the incident after coming to know that three minor children were booked in the FIR.
According to a police spokesperson, the provincial police chief also ordered the Dera Ghazi Khan district police officer (DPO) to pay the amount of wheat to the complainant. The IGP has also directed the police to initiate an inquiry against the policemen who registered the theft case against minor children.
