Change in social attitude needed to deal with dengue: Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif Sunday said that to protect dengue change in social attitude was needed and the provincial government would also spare no efforts in this regard.

In a statement here in Lahore on the occasion of “Anti-Dengue Day”, Shahbaz said his government would utilize all available resources to deal with spread of dengue virus.
He urged the elected representatives and district administration to operate with all governmental machinery to make anti-dengue campaign a movement against the dreadful disease which claimed hundreds of lives during last two years.
The chief minister also appealed people belonging to all walks of life to assist the provincial government to succeed the movement against dengue and take active part in the campaign.
He said the campaign would be carried out as national mission to save the precious lives.
It was the responsibility of the provincial government to provide health facilities to masses and it would let no stone unturned in this regard, he added.
Meanwhile, despite weekly off day all provincial government offices remained opened on the occasion of “Anti-Dengue Day”.
