Vete ran journalist, columnist and former caretaker federal information minister Irshad Ahmed Haqqani died today in Lahore. He was 81. Haqqani was born on September 6, 1928 in Kasur, he was appointed as lecturer at Kasur Government College after completing his education and was retired as the principal of the same college. Haqqani worked with different newspapers and currently he was a senior editor of an established national newspaper. He worked as a caretaker information minister in Miraj Khalids caretaker government. Haqqani was suffering from heart disease since long. His funeral would be held at 3:30pm at Lahore while he would be buried at Kasur.
