Nisar demands removal of governors before polls

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has demanded to change governor of all the four provinces prior to the forthcoming general elections.

Talking to media at Raiwind on Thursday, he said that all the four governors are not trustworthy as they have been appointed on political basis. He said free‚ fair and transparent elections cannot be held in the presence of these governors.
Nisar said that the governor of Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa belonged to MQM, PML-Q and PPP respectively while the Punjab governor is of ‘all political parties’.
He stated that the children of Punjab Governor have joined the PPP and the governor could deliver benefits to them in next elections.
The opposition leader said that the electoral process should be concluded in 60 days.
To a question regarding the caretaker prime minister, Nisar said that three to four names had been short listed for the slot.
