Mubasharur Rehman is deputed in Ravi Town, Asif Shah in Aziz Bhatti Town and Tahira Akram in Nishtar Town. The DCO directed the officers to leave no stone unturned to stop hoarding as it is the root cause of artificial price hike. Expressing deep regret over hoarding, he said that the holy month of Ramadan is meant for gaining Allah’s goodwill but certain traders forget Allah to make profits.
Following the directions of the DCO, Price Magistrates remained in field on Monday and even on a holiday. They conducted 216 raids, fined 33 shopkeepers, registered Fir’s against five and imposed fine up to Rs35,000. The DCO further said that 118 free ‘Aftar Dastar Khawans’ are being arranged at different places. About 17,938 people have benefited from them.
The DCO said that 73,750 kg white sugar and 79,604 bags of 10 kg flour have been sold to people at subsidized rate. He further added that uninterrupted supply of all items for Ramzan bazaars is ensured.
LDA to prepare Integrated Plan
The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has assigned Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to prepare the ‘Integrated Strategic Development Plan for Lahore Region- 2035’.
The plan will have regional focus and include short to long term action and financing plans.
As per notification of CDG/LDA all interested international firms, having adequate and relevant experience in Regional Planning, and preparation of Master and Strategic plans, have been asked to apply for pre-qualification. International Firms with presence in Pakistan or having joint venture/ consortia with local partners would be preferred.
