Retired DMG officers vacate official houses, at long last!

LAHORE – At last, retired senior DMG officers have vacated their official residences after illegally occupying these for almost two to three years.
Former senior officers, mostly serving in Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), were living in GOR-I in violation of June 2009 policy of the government. As per policy, the retired officers cannot posses their official residence even after getting contract jobs. Following this policy, the provincial government got vacated official residences from a number of senior officers including some belonging to Police service.
The senior retired DMG officers were living in GOR-I with the blessing of their junior serving colleagues.
Those who recently vacated their official residences after illegally occupying these for almost two to three years included Safdar Javed Syed retired on August 2009 and Zia-ur-Rehman June 2009 but they have vacated residences without paying penal rents.
Likewise, some others senior officers who recently vacated their residence were living on paper possession included Hamayun Farshori and Ismael Qureshi.
Now all of these officers have vacated their residence following strict directions from the government.
