LAHORE - Transport Secretary Caption (r) Muhammad Yousaf has called a meeting of the transporters to redefine the zones for the establishment of bus stands in the City.
The meeting would be held on March 27, said an official of the Transport Department on Tuesday. The government after every 10 years redesigns the zones in a metropolitan city and in this connection the last zoning was held in 2002, said the officer. According to him, the zones are being defined keeping in view the population, space and other infrastructure of the area. The predicted zones and permissible zones would be identified in the meeting with the consultation of the transporters for the establishment of bus stands in future, he said.
