LAHORE – Former PML-Q MPA from Bahawalpur Tahir Bashir Cheema on Wednesday joined the PML-N after a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and expressed complete confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. Shahbaz welcomed Cheema in the PML-N and said that his joining would strengthen the party in Bahawalpur district. “Due to increasing popularity of the PML-N and its public service programmes, politicians in a large number are joining the party,” he said. Cheema said that the PML-N had solid socioeconomic policies and a large number of poor people were benefiting from them. He vowed to work as a worker under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif to further strengthen the party in his district.
