Holding polls PPP’s utmost priority: Khosa

LAHORE – Punjab Governor Sardar Muhammad Latif Khan Khosa said on Tuesday that it was the utmost priority and foremost responsibility of the PPP government to successfully hold the upcoming general elections.

Addressing the participants of the 42nd PN Staff Course from the Pakistan Naval War College at the Governor’s House, Khosa said the Punjab government’s reluctance to hold local bodies’ elections was indicative of its anti-people policies.
Speaking on the issue of Southern Punjab province, he said it was not only a reality but also need of the hour. He further said naming the new province was not an important question, but ensuring the basic rights of the people was the main agenda of the PPP.
Naval officers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates also participated in the course.
