LAHORE – A mother of four children committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills over domestic dispute in the Lower Mall area, police said on Tuesday.

Surayya Bibi went to the bedroom and locked it after her husband Maqbool Ahmed exchanged harsh words with her over a domestic issue.
She was rushed to hospital where she died. Police handed over the body to family without autopsy. 
The family told the police that relations between the couple were not good since the motor mechanic, Maqbool, was unable to fulfill domestic expenditures.
Found dead: A father of six children was recovered dead under mysterious circumstances from the residence of his in-laws in the Akbari Gate police limits.
Resident of Multan, Najam Ali was staying at the residence of his in-laws for the last two days. Late on Monday night, he was recovered dead from the bedroom under mysterious circumstances.
The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating.
