Son of Tipu Truckanwala booked in murder case

LAHORE – City police have registered a murder case against Balaj Tipu, the son of Tipu Truckanwala (late), his wife, and seven body guards, a day after a 30-year-old man was killed and another wounded in gun assault in the Gowalmandi police area.

Police investigators claimed that no arrest could be made yet as all accused are at large. Police said that raids are underway to arrest the killers. Unidentified gunmen shot dead Basit and wounded his brother Munir Ahmed at their house in the Gowalmandi area late on Monday night. The injured told the police that the gun attack was carried out on the behest of Balaj Tipu, the son of Tipu Truckanwala (late), a big name in the underworld in Lahore. The complainant also claimed that the deceased had property dispute with the killers.
