Police said Hamid Javed, resident of Old Ravi, and his friends arranged a party and were celebrating the occasion by arranging alcohol ahead of Eid. During the celebration Hamid went serious after having more liquor, quoting his friends the police said.
He was shifted to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
The police handed over his body to the family after legal formalities.
