LAHORE - Higher Education Department of the Punjab has strongly contradicted the rumours that a security fee of Rs. 15 thousand will have to be deposited by the students for computers to be distributed under the Chief Minister’s laptop scheme, said a spokesman of PEF on Tuesday.
He said that the laptop computers will be distributed free of cost among the deserving and talented students and no security fee has been fixed by Punjab government for this purpose. These computers will be nonreturnable. The spokesman further said that these laptops will not be given for a certain period but will be the personal property of the students.
