LAHORE – The City remained in the grip of muggy weather on Wednesday with experts predicting dust thunderstorm / light rain during the next 24 hours.
Though the mercury dropped slightly due to cloudiness, high humidity made the weather sultry, causing the Lahorites to sweat profusely.
On Wednesday, the maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded at 40 degree C and 29 C, respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 51 per cent.
Harsh weather conditions forced the Lahorites to stay indoors and avoid unnecessarily coming out on roads, reducing traffic at otherwise busy arteries at noon and in the afternoon.
The Lahore Canal, as usual, attracted a large number of people including women and children.
