LAHORE (PR) - Adiala Jail Deputy Superintendent Noor Ahmed Bhagila misbehaved with senior journalist Rana Javed Farooq and threatened him of dire consequences.
Rana Javed visited Adiala Jail to meet a prisoner there.
Javed gave his visiting card to Deputy Superintendent who did not bother to entertain him till two hours. On that, Javed asked him that he wanted to see Jail Superintendent which infuriated Noor Ahmed. He insulted Javed and threatened him of dire consequences. In the meantime, jail staff thrashed the journalist. Social and political circles have demanded Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Home Secretary to take notice of Noor Ahmed highhandedness and sack him without any delay. Journalist community has also expressed concern over the situation.
