OKARA - A woman and her young son was killed by rivals on return from a court hearing here near 12L Faugian Wala the other day. The incident took place when the boy and his mother were returning from a court hearing.  Reportedly, Muhammad Tufail’s wife Jannat Bibi along with his son Shah Nawaz, residents of 20/1RA was returning home after a court hearing. When they reached near Faugian Wala, two armed persons identified as Arshad and Jehangir, riding a bike intercepted them. The culprits let off a volley of bullets on the woman and her son, killing them instantly. According to sources, one of the accused Arshad had tied the knot with Nazia, daughter of deceased Jannat Bibi some three years ago.
However, due to strained relations, the girl was living at her parents’ house. She had also filed a suit in the court which could be the cause of the killings.
The police shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy.
