RE - Following the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Mayo Hospital administration has regularised its 822 contractual employees working in grade 1 to 15 on Tuesday. The chief minister had issued orders of regularisation of 0.15 million contractual employees serving across the province.
A doctor of the hospital said the employees were hired in 2003 on contract basis including security guards, ayas, ward attendants and ward cleaners.
It is pertinent to add that some other hospitals like Jinnah Hospital and Services Hospital also regularised their employees few days back.
A doctor of the hospital said Mayo Hospital would get its employees trained by the rescue service 1122 to provide better reception to its patients. Sources in the health department said more than 190 employees of King Edward Medical University were yet to be regularised.
