LAHORE – To reduce waistline below 38 inches, obese police officers have started exercising at Qurban Police Lines under the supervision of SP Mujahid Squad.
According to the plan, all the fat cops would assemble at the venue at two different timings and exercise to achieve the target set by Punjab Inspector General of Police Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman.
Earlier, the IGP had made compulsory for each police inspector to reduce his waistline below 38 inches; otherwise, he would never be posted as SHO. “The personnel of Elite Force will exercise from 6:30 to 7:30 whereas the officers working under the umbrella of Mujahid Squad would exercise from 7:30 to 8:30 am,” said a senior police officer.
Meanwhile, the City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) have rounded up an impersonator traffic warden involved in multiple acts of minting money from transporters and motorists. A case has been registered against him at Raiwind City Police Station.
The CTPL spokesman said that a traffic warden Abdul Qadeer saw a traffic warden acting suspiciously. Later, Qadeer handed him over to the Raiwind City police and he was booked under criminal charges.
