LAHORE – The Livestock and Dairy Development (L&DD) Department promoted 25 officers of the Directorate General of Extension from BPS-18 to BPS-19 with immediate effect.
TheNation published a report on July 4 about the delay in promotions of these officials. Thirty five cases of promotion from grade-18 to grade-19 were forwarded TO the L&DD secretary. The promotion-awaiting officers belonging to the Directorate of Animal Health, Directorate of Breed Improvement, and Livestock Farming and Public Research Institute were promoted to the next grade. However, some of the officials, including the director general, were suspended over their alleged involvement in the multi-million Idara-i-Kisan scam.
Those who were promoted include Dr Qurban Senior Research Officer Dera Chahal, Dr Ghulam Muhammad Gill EDO Agriculture Rawalpindi, Dr Muhammad Ashraf Senior Veterinary Officer SVO Pak Pattan, Dr Iftikhar Ali Deputy Secretary Technical, Dr Abdul Rehman District Live Stock Officer (DLO) Faisalabad, Dr Akbar Ali Ch DLO Chiniot, Dr Liaqat DLO Sheikhupura, Dr Shahid Hussain Bukhari Director ADRS Lahore, Dr Ghulam Hussain EDO (agriculture) Jhelum and Dr Binyamin DDLO Faisalabad and others.
