Teachers rally against blasphemy

LAHORE - The Punjab Teachers Union (PTU) staged a demonstration on Saturday to protest against the sacrilegious movie.
Scores of teachers, including women educators, participated in the protest jointly organised by the PTU and the Joint Action Committee of Usataza. Syed Sajjad Akbar Kazmi, Rana Liaqat Ali, Rana Arshad, Aslam Ghuman and Zafar led the rally from Nasir Bagh to GPO Chowk.
The protesters condemned the anti-Islam movie and urged Pakistan and the whole Islamic world to cut off diplomatic relations with the US.
They chanted slogans against US President Barack Obama and called for stern action to avert such acts in future.
