Police launch dengue drive

LAHORE – Punjab Police Inspector General Habibur Rehman has directed the field officers, across the province, to ensure all preventive measure including anti-dengue spray around all police lines, police stations, police hostels, training centers, canteens, motor transport wings, and storerooms so that the police force could be saved from the disease.
In a circular issued to all Regional Police Officers (RPOs), District Police Officers (DPOs) and field officers on Thursday, the provincial police chief has directed them to launch an effective awareness campaign in their respective areas and all the preventive measures should be taken to keep the atmosphere clean. The officers were also directed to specifically ensure anti-dengue spray at storerooms, motor workshops, and the motor transport wings.  The IGP also directed the traffic police to actively launch an awareness campaign to sensitize the general public about the disease by distributing pamphlets and brochures among the motorists in order to urge the masses for adopting preventive measures.  The police officers are also directed to ensure regular cleanliness around their offices and also check rainwater and remove it immediately around the police buildings.
