Unethical and unfair

I was diagnosed with blood cancer in 1999 in at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC). My treatment lasted four years and during this time, some of my relatives abandoned me believing that I would die. Only my parents and brother remained by my side. Today, it has been nearly a decade since I have been cancer-free. I lead a normal, healthy life because of SKMCH&RC.

While watching the news this last week, I heard politicians questioning the reputation of the very place where I was cured. It is my belief that politicians may criticise Imran Khan for his political motives but they should not bring the hospital in the middle of this fray. SKMCH&RC has saved many lives, including mine, and damaging its reputation is to hurt the people of Pakistan. Imran Khan has given us Shaukat Khanum and Namal University. Instead of attacking him, I would like to see if these politicians have the heart and passion to create two such institutions.
