Insecure feudal lords

History will always remember PM Gillani for his services to retain and strengthen the feudal structure in Seraiki belt and in the interior Sindh. The golden rule there is to keep haris, tenants, labourers and disciples of pirs in perpetual torment, slavery, illiteracy, hunger, unemployment and pain so that they can never pose a threat to feudal traditions of this region. The biggest challenge that was ever posed to feudal system was by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto whose policies rekindled awakening and hope amongst the toiling poor of this country. However, the present government, led by gaddi nasheens from Multan ensured that no credible college and school imparting quality education is set up in their areas of influence; in fact whatever infrastructure that existed for primary health and education has been used for any purpose other than education or medical services. A literate man from an ordinary background is seen as a threat to the system. The lords are fearful that education would make people aware of the atrocities meted out on them by the feudal. It was in line of this fear that the Sindh government other than creating Benazir Flying Academy at Nawabshah refrained from constructing any quality education campus in interior Sindh. Ghost schools are prevalent that serves as deras of waderas and dakus. After all, of what use is quality education when high school educated street smart cronies could be considered fit to head OGDC, PIA, CAA, PSO, PSM, KPT, NILC, etc. The government deserves kudos for successfully embarking on a mission to fleece hajj and Umrah pilgrims, to earn billions in Ephedrine and Rental Power Plant scams. To sum it up, the local proverb best describes their feats, “Badnam honge tou kia naam na hogah.”
