This is about a serious matter which has created bedlam among young officers of Sindh through delay because justice delayed is justice denied. This relates to delay in the process of selection of people for different posts by the Sindh Public Service Commission. It advertised 16 posts of probation officers in advertisement No. 01/2010 and 13 posts of parole officers in advertisement No. 04/2010 in the home department of Sindh. The written tests for both these jobs were held in April 2011 in Hyderabad and results of both examinations were announced together on Oct 21, 2011. The interviews were held in November 2011, and then the final results of parole officers and probation officers were announced on Nov 16 and 19, 2011, respectively. The irony is that the successful candidates are still waiting for their offer letters. Instant and timely issuance of offer letters must be ensured for all kind of jobs in order to attract and retain the best talent of the country. The relevant authority should look into the matter.
