Pakistan's vulnerable economy

March 13, 2012

Pakistan is a country which is facing a lot of trials and tribulations for some years. Every politician is crying out and criticising others, but no one comes up with any viable solution. The IMF has warned Pakistan that its economy is highly vulnerable. The Pakistan’s currency declined by the rate of 0.5 percent against the dollar in the past year and fell to a record low on 9th January. Sadly, the government is taking heavy loans to fulfil its desires. In my opinion, our government should not take loan and utilise Pakistani resources. It should invite international intellectuals and economists to find a solution of our ailing economy by mutual deliberations. Our policymakers must also introduce reforms to stablize the economy as early as possible. According to Transparency International, Pakistan amongst the world’s most corrupt countries. This calls for institutional reforms to check corruption and put the economy back on track.
