Children on streets

We see street children collecting trash from houses and garbage dumps every day. They collect food, plastic products, papers, boxes and other trash and sell these in the local market. These children work in highly unhygienic conditions. They are also at risk of getting involved in other activities like begging, drug-peddling, and even sex trade.

Due to their exposure to all kinds of people, many of these children become drug addicts. Due to the conditions they work in, and the activities they may be involved in, these children are highly prone to diseases like AIDS and hepatitis. I request the government and NGOs to do something about these children.
