Overwhelmed by extreme frustration over the inaction and unwillingness of the government and the security agencies, the chief justice has warned the government to follow the Constitution before a state of emergency is declared or martial law is imposed in the country. In the perception of the general public, Pakistan is firmly in the hands of a “Zardari-Gilani-Kayani” troika, complementing each other in pursuit of respective personal mandate and whose sole objective is to see the continuation and perpetuation of the PPP-led government, until, at least, each one of them completes their term of office in 2013.
