August 01, 2012

OKARA - Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Ameer Abdul Mateen Akhvandzada has said that it is the abject poverty and indiscrimination in the distribution of resources which have been forcing Baloch people to demand separation. The matter is of the public rights and which could not be politicised and tangible measures should be taken to address the sense of deprivation among the people.

The JI ameer said that equality must be ensured in Balochistan and everything from jobs to development funds must be distributed in a just and equal manner to let the people realise their identity and end the sense of deprivation among people. The people of the province have been grappling with worst problems coupled by lack of basic facilities which have been encouraging disgruntled elements to woo public support for their activities,” he pointed out.
He accused that India and America were hatching conspiracies to destabilise Pakistan by causing unrest including in Balochistan. The JI leader stressed the need for unity and cohesion, saying that a nation would better tackle anti-state conspiracies and ensure integrity and sovereignty.
