ISLAMABAD - Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly and a PML-N key leader Ch. Nisar Ali Khan said on Tuesday that he would soon nominate two persons for the slot of caretaker prime minister while the incumbent Prime Minister would also nominate two persons for the same.Addressing a press conference here at his parliament chamber, Nisar said that he would start consultations with the opposition parties both in and outside the parliament about his nominee.Commenting on President Zardari's claim that the PPP-led ruling alliance would emerge victorious in the next general elections and would form governments at the Center and provinces, Nisar said tat it seems that President Zardari was not aware of the problems of the masses and perhaps was not living in the country.He was of the view that people were waiting to wipe off the PPP through power of their votes which he believed, would be a fatal surprise for the PPP and its coalition partners.The PML-N leader said the ruling alliance had badly failed to deliver and instead filled their pockets by aggravating the problems of the poor people.Commenting on the MQM proposed national roundtable conference, Nisar laughed it off saying those who were thick and thin with PPP in sharing power were now talking about such proposals at the end of their term. Answering a question, Nisar Khan said that the opposition will bring the people to streets should the PPP-led ruling alliance tries to extend their rule for one year. " People are sick of them and want to get rid of them without further delay," he added.About the possibility of election alliance or seats adjustment with any political party, Nisar hinted that talks were underway with Jammat-e-Islami and other parties, adding that PPP would be surprised by the election results this time in Sindh.Answering another question about the alleged involvement of PML-N MNA from Rawalpindi Muhammad Hanif Abbasi in the ephedrine scandal, Nisar said that it was a bigger joke as there were many who had misused the authority were still not touched and those who utilized their quota of 500 kgs were being victimized for political reasons.About the suspension of membership of party's MNA Capt (Retd) Muhammad Safdar, Nisar said that he has summoned meeting of the concerned and hoped the issue would be resolved once for all.
