DASKA - As many as 27 rice mills’ owners in Daska have given a final warning to the federal government, saying that they would shift their rice mills to Bangladesh as a protest against daily 20 to 22 hours power outages in the region.

He said that hundreds of labourers had been rendered jobless due to loadshedding. He said that the situation had forced the rice mills to pack up their businesses.
“It is our final warning to the federal government to halt unbearable and prolonged power outages immediately. Otherwise, we will be forced to shift the business to Bangladesh,” he added. “We will first lock up our rice mills, then also besiege the Gepco offices and to stage sit-ins after two days to lodge our strong but peaceful anti-power outages protest.”
