ISLAMABAD – Fire in the parking lot of Islamabad International Airport on Thursday caused delay in flights, besides creating panic among the passengers and their relatives present at the airport.
According to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), fire was caused due to an electric short circuit erupted in the parking lot of Islamabad International Airport. Emergency was imposed at the airport premises and all the flights were delayed due to the incident.
The fire brigade squad of Capital Development Authority (CDA) reached the scene and brought the fire under control. The fire resulted in chaos and delay of flights but no human or property loss was reported.
