HAFIZABAD - Two people were killed while 17 others including 10 women injured when a car and van collided head-on here on Hafizabad-Pindi Bhattian Road near Tahli Goraya, here the other day.

A car driven by Shahid Baig was going to Faisalabad when reached the place of occurrence, a recklessly driven van coming from the opposite direction, rammed into it.
Resultantly, car driver Shahid Baig and van driver Yaseen Abdullah died on the spot while 17 others including, Misbha, Imran, Naveed Akhtar, Sobia, Sher Muhammad, Muzaffar Iqbal, Anjum Bibi and Sirajdin received serious injuries. They were removed to different hospitals by Rescue-1122.
According to another report, bodies of two young girls were found floating in Qadirabad Balloki Link Canal near Qadirabad Adda.
The Vanike Police recovered the bodies and sent to the city morgue for autopsy. Identity of the bodies could not be established so far.
