QUETTA – The district and session judge Quetta approved interim bail of Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zafarullah Zehri in a kidnapping for ransom case on Thursday.
Petitioner Karim Bukhsh had filed a case against Zehri with the Brewery Police Station in 2004.
Karim Bukhsh had taken the plea in the FIR that Zehri kidnapped his son Muhammad Hussain and shifted and detained him at some area of Khuzdar, the home town of the provincial minister. Lehri appeared before District and Session Judge Rashid Mehmood and prayed the court for interim bail.
The court accepted the request on submission of surety bonds worth Rs 100,000.
It may be mentioned that the mother of Muhammad Hussain had levelled serious allegation against the home minister Zafarullah before a three-member bench of Supreme Court during hearing of cases of missing persons at the Quetta Registry, after which the bench had directed the area police for taking action in accordance with law.
