SARGODHA - Lovebirds committed suicide upon failure to contract marriage here in village Ghulam Wala on Thursday.

Reportedly, Atta Muhammad fell in love with his cousin Zaitoon Bibi. However, Zaitoon was married off to another person namely Ghulam Abbas while Atta Muhammad also tied the knot with someone else in his relatives.
The other day, the disappointed lovers - Atta Muhammad and Zaitoon Bibi consumed poisonously pills and breathed their last.
Two gunned down: Two persons were gunned down over old enmity here on Thursday. According to police sources, in village 45/SB three persons identified as Javed, Hashim and Waqar were on the way back home when unknown armed persons opened fire at them. Resultantly Hashim and Javed died on the spot while Waqar sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
The culprits managed to escape from the scene. The Atta Shaheed Police shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy and registered case against the accused.
