PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Senior Minister, and Parliamentary Leader of ANP Bashir Ahmad Bilour has said that history of ANP is replete with sacrifices for freedom and national cause, adding that the monuments of their freedom fighters and martyrs are at various places including Qissa Khwani and Bazaar-e-Kalan are ample proof of it.

Addressing the floral wreath laying ceremony at Yadgar-e-Shohada at Bazaar-e-Kalan on Thursday afternoon, that besides the ANP leaders and elite of the area was also attended by the ex-District Nazim Haji Umar Khan, Haji Niaz Mohammad Momand and the LG authorities, Bashir Bilour said that the English rulers gave blood bath to the innocent weaponless citizens over the mere crime in 1930 on this day that they were protesting against the arrest of the freedom fighter and Khudai Khidmatgar leader Bacha Khan. He said that the matchless sacrifices of lives and properties of their forefathers bore fruit and they got freedom from English slavery.
However, he said that “today we are faced with more critical situation than the past wherein the entire nation has to shun their differences and demonstrate exemplary unity and integrity in order to foil the nefarious designs and conspiracies of the enemies.”
He said that “we would never bow down to the threats of suicidal attacks and terrorism but would endeavor for providing atmosphere of durable peace and prosperity to our people.”
The Senior Minister said that the provincial government implemented the Nizam-e-Adl Regulation in Malakand following the Swat Peace Agreement but Taliban did not follow the suit. He said that those challenging writ of the government would be dealt with iron hands in future too.
He said that the provincial government would prefer steps as per wishes of the people rather than going against their will and using force while the implementation of Nizam-e-Adl in Malakand was proof of our sincerity in this regard.
He said ANP government honoured all its election promises and we would win next general elections with over whelming majority, he concluded.
