QUETTA - Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Qazi Faez Essa has taken suo moto notice of the mysterious disappearance of Balochistan Prosecutor General Wasay Tareen, here on Thursday.
Additional Prosecutor General had filed an application in which it was said that the Prosecutor General (PG) was travelling to Islamabad on Wednesday in connection with hearing of cases at the Supreme Court when he went missing.
Tareen went missing in Zhob area while on this way to Islamabad from Quetta and his family has not been able to contact him since Wednesday evening.
Sajid Tareen advocate, a brother of Wasay, told the media that last time he (PG) had contacted his son from Zhob and since then they are totally unaware about his whereabouts.
Balochistan Bar Association (BBA) President Rehmatullah Bareech and other senior lawyers have expressed serious concern over the disappearance of the PG and demanded the government take sure steps for his early recovery. BBA has also announced boycott of courts on Friday (today) against the missing of the official.
On the other hand, three bullet-riddled dead bodies were found on Thursday in Chaman, a bordering town of district Qilla Abdullah, near Afghanistan. Chaman Habibullah Assistant Commissioner said unidentified armed men shot dead three persons and threw away their bodies at Boghra Road of Chaman. “The deceased were missing for the last four weeks,” he added.
Police shifted the bodies to local hospital for medico-legal formalities. They were identified as Hayat Khan, Haji Ata Wali and Mehmod. “Bullets had hit heads and chests of the victims,” hospital sources said. Local administration later handed over the bodies to the heirs for burial.
Motive behind the murder could not be ascertained immediately.
