WASHINGTON - US CENTOM chief General Mattis Friday met with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Sherry Rehman in Washington and discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.General Mattis said Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices in the war on terror. He said the United States will continue cooperation in restoration of peace in Afghanistan.Earlier‚ addressing a function in Los Angeles‚ Sherry Rehman said Pakistani government is working to strengthen democratic institutions in the country. She also highlighted steps taken for safe-guarding minorities’ rights and ensuring women empowerment.
