ISLAMABAD - Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik Wednesday gave directions for the constitution of a committee headed by Director General, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), to examine the protection as well as security level of data of Nadra, Directorate of Passports and Integrated Border Management System (IBMS), at Islamabad Airport.
Secretary Interior will notify the committee. The decision was taken during a meeting held in Islamabad with Interior Minister in the chair. Federal Secretary Interior, Additional Secretary Ministry of Interior, Chairman NADRA, Director General FIA, DG Immigration and Passports, Deputy Chairman Nadra, Additional DG FIA and other senior officers of FIA and Ministry of Interior attended the meeting.
The meeting decided that the committee would examine how much the data of Nadra, Immigration and Passports and IBMS at Islamabad Airport was protected.
The committee will examine data protection arrangements for the actual protection of NADRA and Directorate of Immigration and Passports.
Shahid Nadeem Baloch, Director National Response Center for Cyber Crimes (NR3C), FIA; Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah, DG, Nadra; Rao Imran, Director Database, Immigration and Passports and representatives of PTA and IB will be the members of the committee.
