MANDI BAHAUDDIN - A person namely Waleed fired four bullets on a police sub-inspector that pierced into his stomach.

According to detail, Advocate Akhtar, a resident of Gurha Mohallah called police to rescue him and his family from his son Waleed who according to him had turned violent and was beating them. When the police party led by SI Aziz reached his house, Waleed opened fire on the SI. The bullets pierced into SI’s stomach and he fell down.
He was shifted to DHQ Hospital where doctors operated on him and retrieved one bullet from his stomach.  The remaining three bullets would be taken out when condition of the injured turned stable, the doctors said.  The City Police arrested the accused with his accomplice and further investigation is in progress.
