QUETTA - Two soldiers of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) received bullet injuries when gunmen attacked Arab Shiekh’s hunting party in Kech district, some 1,050 Km southwest of Quetta, said officials.According to Home Secretary Balochistan Akbar Hussain Durrani, the hunting party led by Sheikh Ali Bin Abdullah, a member of ruling family of Qatar and minister for Petroleum was moving from one camp to another in Patok area, some 25 Km from Turbat town when assailants from the nearby mountains opened fire on vehicles of Frontier Corps personnel accompanying hunting party. “Two of the security personnel received bullet injuries, however, their condition is stated to be out of danger,” he added.Commissioner Makran division Abdul Fatah Banghar, when contacted, confirmed that the unpleasant incident had happen and said all Arab Sheikhs and members of their caravan comprising around 20 vehicles were safe and sound.Gwaram Baloch, the spokesman of banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), called a number of newspapers and claimed responsibility for the attack. He, however, said their target was not Arab Sheikh, but personnel of Frontier Corps. He claimed that seven FC men were killed in attack and two vehicles were also destroyed completely. BBC says the incident happened near Patooh in Turbat, the headquarters of district Kech. It said the Arab Sheikh and his party members were in Kech for hunting houbara bustard and other birds.
