SUKKUR - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said general elections would be affected if local government polls were held in this year.
“Earlier 300 million dollars were gone back to the World Bank due to such kind of news, it is our performance that we are going to get 156 million dollars now and China has agreed again to invest in Sindh because of the visits of President Asif Ali Zardari to China”, Shah said. He said it has been forecasted that Sindh will have more rains than usual this year, so the government has started its efforts to counter the threat.
“Last year, Sindh had experienced a lot of loss due to rains and flooding, and we had facilitated more than 9 million affectees on daily basis”, Shah said adding, “We have made LBOD and other drains of such types that water of rains and flooding will easily flow towards sea”.
He stated that the government has served at its very best for the last four years and built 2,000 kilometre roads during the current year.
“Eleven district hospitals have upgraded and their inaugural will be done within two months, we have raised budget of health and education sectors by two per cent”, Shah said.
The CM Sindh stated that media should give coverage to their good works.
