Six militants killed in Upper Dir

At least six militants were killed when they crossed into Pakistan from Afghanistan and attacked a military checkpost in Upper Dir on late Sunday night

According to details, a group of militants crossed border from Afghanistan and attacked the checkpost in Brawal area of Upper Dir district with gunfire.
Official sources said that the attack took place near Sabir Kallay-Sonrai Darra area of the Pak-Afghan border but the alert security men retaliated and sources confirmed the killing of six militants while security forces remained saved.
The attack took place despite protests and condemnation by Islamabad over similar attacks that took place on 14th and 24th June.
