ISLAMABAD - Minister for Interior Rehman Malik has demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Supreme Court to take action against the PML-N leadership over its 'contacts' with defunct Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ). Talking to media persons here on Friday, he said that all information regarding LeJ has been provided to the Punjab government, ,adding, that he hopes that the provincial government will take action against the group. He said that LeJ was responsible for 80 per cent of terror plots across the country and blamed that the militants take refuge in Punjab after conducting terror attacks. Referring to the dialogue with Taliban, he said that the Taliban should lay down their weapons if they were serious in holding talks with the government. He stressed that the nation needs to unite over the matter of terrorism.
