Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik called on Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain in London on Saturday and discussed with him various issues including current political situation.

The two leaders discussed key issues in details and agreed to support each other in larger interests of the country.
Rehman Malik said that both the parties will contest in the elections separately, however, seat adjustment can be discussed in some cases.
The minister further hailed the efforts of MQM and said that without their support, it was not possible for the government to complete its five-year term.
Altaf Hussain said that old companionship will continue in the best interest of Pakistan, for peace and stability in Sindh and to strengthen brotherhood and unity in the country.
The MQM chief said that his party had always joined hands with democratic forces.
